Dear teachers, dear students,
Hello, everyone!I'm Deng Shuwen from Class 12, Grade One. The topic of my speech today is "What are we talking about when we Talk about running?"
Last weekend, I took part in the 3km race of Beijing Long Run Festival。The nervous mood disappeared with the sound of the starting gun, and the six-word truth of "lift your legs, swing your arms, breathe" in your mind also disappeared from your brain with the gradual constriction of breathing。The pole appeared at 1500 meters, and I held on vaguely through gritted teeth。In the last 200 meters, I rushed forward with everything, my body was as stiff as a machine, until I crossed the finish line in the shouts。I think, like me, you also have a similar running race or test experience。Although the process is difficult and painful, but the moment you rush to the end, you are your own hero。
Long-distance running can be experienced in many ways。When we compete, we feel the passion of competitive sports. On weekdays, we can simply enjoy the process of running。If you build a strong body in love, you will not see running as the biggest source of stress, you will not think running is a torture, and you will not worry about measuring 800 meters or 1,000 meters in physical education class for a week。So how can we enjoy running?
First, we need to lower our requirements。A year ago,I'm trying to increase my mileage,But it's hard to even run down a three kilometer,Because I was so focused on speed,Every day I try to be faster than the day before,As a result, I often run very hard,It was a huge psychological setback,So tired of running,This is a classic case of locking yourself in a racing cage。In fact, we should put the speed, distance behind the mind, and really pay attention to the body's response, so that they are in a relaxed and pleasant state。For example, if your 1,000m time is four minutes, then you can start at a pace of six minutes or less and try to run longer。Slowly, you will find that the distance you run begins to become longer, your legs and feet are more relaxed, and even the speed you do not care about is naturally faster。In this way, your confidence will start to increase, and maybe you will gradually love the feeling of running。
Second, we need to have fun。Running is a repetitive activity, so it's easy to get bored。We can find like-minded friends to run with。You'll be more motivated to stick with each other, and you'll gain friendship during the run。In addition, we can try some tricks in running, such as completely empty our minds, listen to the birds, look at the blue sky, count the number of trees on the road, and guess whether the people shooting on the playground have made it。Of course, you can also listen to English and news while running, which must be an excellent reflection of the use of fragmented time that parents look forward to, but as for the effect, I am not sure。
Finally, we should pay attention to technique。Winter weather is cold, long-distance running must pay attention to warm-up before running and stretching after running, to carefully complete the preparation activities, grasp the correct running posture, reasonable control of the body limit, so that in the absence of injury, we can be happy and long run。
Long-distance running means something different to everyone。Because of love, because of pursuit, because of the company on the journey, because we believe that persistence can reach the distance, so we are willing to drop everything and enjoy running。If all of us can fall in love with running, then we will have enough confidence to practice Tsinghua's slogan of "working for the health of the motherland for at least 50 years", and we will have a strong body and shine in the great construction of the motherland with high spirit。
The Beijing Winter Olympic Games is coming in 47 days. Let us shout the slogan "Together towards the future" and rush to the sacred book of sports.Let us shout for the Olympic athletes, but also applaud for themselves;Let us move from the expectation of competitive sports to the expectation of national fitness。
That's the end of my speech. Thank you。
